Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI’m glad to see racing back at Rockingham. Are you planning on attending the race?
Rockingham is a great race track. It should still be on the NASCAR schedule. I went there once in February 2002 for my birthday and I loved watching that race there.
i’m not sure Tara. i’d love to go to a race there, but it’s an ARCA race, which i know none of those drivers, so i’m not sure if i will.
I remember that traffic was HORRENDOUS at Rockingham on race day. It would take several hours to go about 10 miles to the highway. Maybe that was a factor. At least the track is finally coming back to life. Hopefully it will thrive again.
I always loved how the track was RIGHT beside the main road. You don’t really get that with other tracks I don’t think. I always thought that was really cool.
I wish I lived in that part of the country, I would definitly be there, for the ARCA race.
NASCAR girl, you might not know the drivers there now, but you will. Michael McDowell finished second to perennial champion Frank Kimmel in ARCA last year. Scott Speed, who is breaking into the Nationwide Series and Truck series, is racing a full schedule in ARCA. In fact, ARCA is the feeder series people think the Nationwide series is supposed to be.
