Several race teams left this morning around 8 to drive down to Daytona Beach; although I would guess they all did.
I saw about 15 of the teams driving on 77 & 485 - right over the NC/SC state line.
Just a quick little update for everyone!

Tuesday night Carl Edwards was at the Rusty Rudder with a camera/tv crew.
I’m not sure what he was filming, but there were people really dressed up like they knew he was going to be there with the crew.
So, to all the Carl fans out there; be on the lookout for Carl on camera! =]
Since I can’t seem to ever get anything written now, I am going to take the site down for a while I think.
I will probably bring it back at some point; but I need to take some time to do some thinking about it.
Thanks for everyone reading it before.
See you soon! =]
I’ll start off by saying: I hope everyone looked at my testing pictures, that wanted to, and enjoyed them.
All-Star week is here! Actually it’s almost over, since it’s almost Thursday here; but I hope everyone is looking forward to the All-Star Race. I know I’m super excited, because I’ll be going, and we have pit passes finally for a race. One thing I didn’t know was that they let drivers in if they win in the 1st half of 2008.
It’s also the anniversary of my 1st live race!! We went last year, and had a blast, but I didn’t know hardly any drivers or anything about racing. I remember we both were like: ‘Carl Edwards, huh?!’ Although, at the time, he wasn’t such a big deal, because he hadn’t won in about 2 years.
I’m also hoping to go to the Pit Crew Challenge tomorrow night. I will definitely be taking my new camera along for that as well! I think there’s about 20 crews participating, as I was told.
Good Luck to all the drivers in the All-Star Race, and to those trying to ‘win-in’ through the Sprint Showdown.
Addition: Watch out for Kyle hitting Kurt! =]
It’s time again to vote drivers into the All-Star Race!
So let’s all go to nascar.com & vote Elliott Sadler in about 9000 times each! =]
Note: You have to be logged in to vote.
Kyle Busch is officially hotter than fire now.
He won today’s Nationwide Series race, and he’s still the points leader in the Truck Series, 2nd in the Sprint Cup Series, and currently still 3rd in the Nationwide Series.
Soon I will be adding one of those word puzzles that everyone will have to solve in order to be able to post a comment. I’m getting a lot of random comments that make no sense, and I think they’re coming from robots; so I want to try to fix that.
There is a testing session at Lowe’s Motor Speedway May 5th & 6th that I’m planning on going to. I’ll only be able to get there for the night session, because I won’t be able to leave to go there until 5:30. This is the first time the COT will be on the Charlotte track, so I definitely want to be there for that. I am also going to take pictures of the test, of course, and I’m taking my scanner also.
I’m still trying to get a good setup to host all my race pictures, so when I get that finished; they will be available for viewing.
No word yet, that I’ve heard, on how the Whisky River grand opening went.
“Kyle drives like a girl,” Truex said. “I mean, come on. We’re out here racing for fun. We had a hell of a battle. I had a lot of fun racing today with him, and then I had a huge run and he just blocked me. I pretty much knew he was going to do it. I had such a run and had to go.“I know he is trying to protect his teammate to win, but I felt that we had the car to win. I felt we had the best car all day.”
Well, first of all, I never saw this quote back from the Nationwide Series race at Daytona.
Second, I’ve analyzed this quote and now I’m going to give my opinion; because I think it’s a good one. I just randomly came across it, and I guess I want to rant for a minute about it. =]
Martin says Kyle drives like a girl, but then he gives an example that has nothing to do with that statement. The racing ‘for fun’ thing makes absolutely no sense, because it’s a points race. These drivers can say it’s all just ‘fun’, but I’m not going to believe that junk; they want points and they want wins. Then the part where he says he had fun racing Kyle… well then why did you bring up Kyle’s driving style anyway? (I think that’s quite humorous.)
Of course he’s going to block you… it’s Kyle Busch!
And actually I like Kyle’s reply here:
Grow up, bud. What do you want me to do, pull over?
That sounds like exactly something I would say. ‘Get over it’ basically.
addition: Tony Stewart finished 1st; Kyle Busch finished 2nd. Martin Truex was out of the Top 10.
Again, why did Martin complain about Kyle blocking him? Because he wanted a win and points, but didn’t get it.
Since I just drove by ‘The Rock’ twice this weekend, I thought I’d mention that the Inagural Carolina 500 at Rockingham is May 4th, 2008.
